Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or prominent notice on our website.

Our Ethics

Privacy is the legal floor. Ethics is what we promise beyond it. Both belong on the same page because the people using this product are sharing real information about hard seasons of their lives, and they deserve to know exactly how we think about that — not just what the law requires.

Why ethics lives next to privacy

The Privacy Policy above is the contract. It tells you, in the plain language we owe you, what data we collect and how we handle it. The Ethics section is something different: it tells you what we believe about that data, and what we'll do with it even when no law requires us to do anything at all. If the privacy policy is the floor, this is the ceiling we're holding ourselves to.

Data dignity

The data you generate inside this program is not ordinary product data. It is, frequently, a record of one of the harder seasons of your life — what you're triaging, what you're afraid of, what you've decided to stop carrying. We treat it accordingly.

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not train AI models on your individual responses. We do not run advertising against your account, your inbox, or your inferred state. Our commitments here:

  • Your responses are yours. We use them to generate the outputs you came here for, and that's it.
  • We do not build profiles to monetize. There is no second product where the real customer is an advertiser.
  • We don't aggregate your worst week into a marketing insight. If we ever publish anonymized patterns from product use, it will only be after we've explained what and why and given you the option to exclude your data first.

How AI is used in the product

The product uses Anthropic's Claude API for two specific synthesis tasks: turning your assessment responses into your personalized report, and weaving your course inputs into your personal Operating Manual at the end of the program. Anthropic does not retain this data for training. The synthesized output is stored in your account, where you can read it, export it, and delete it.

What AI does not do here: it does not make decisions for you about your own life, it does not impersonate a therapist or a friend, and it does not generate replies in a conversation designed to feel like a relationship. The principle is simple. AI is a tool to give you back time and clarity by structuring your own answers into something usable. It is not a substitute for your judgment about your own life, and it is not pretending to care about you.

If at any point you'd rather not have your inputs sent through the synthesis step, you can complete the lessons without generating the final Operating Manual. The course work is still yours.

Consent and agency

This is your data and your story. The defaults reflect that.

  • Consent is explicit. We don't bury permissions in a checkbox you didn't read. Email subscription, account creation, and the synthesis step are each opt-in on their own terms.
  • Consent is granular. You can use the assessment without creating an account. You can use the program without subscribing to email. You can change your mind on any of these without losing access to the work you've already done.
  • Consent is revocable. Email hi@moxieella.com to delete your account and your data, and we'll do it within 30 days. No retention clauses, no exit interviews, no friction designed to keep you.

What we won't do

A short list of commitments that hold regardless of what the law allows:

  • We will not sell or share individual user data with anyone, ever, for any price.
  • We will not use your words, screenshots, or stories in marketing without explicit, specific, written opt-in. Generic terms-of-service permissions don't count.
  • We will not design AI features that simulate a human relationship. No fake friend, no fake coach, no fake therapist.
  • We will not retain your data longer than you want us to. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it.
  • We will not silently change these commitments. If we revise this section, we'll say so, plainly, and tell you what changed.
